Bogus Basin Nordic Center open for business!

BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — The Nordic center of Bogus Basin is open for the 2018-2019 winter season, as of Saturday.
The announcement was made Friday night in a press release.
According to the release, several inches of snow on the ground Friday, combined with the expectation of more, overnight, caused official from the nonprofit recreation to make the decision.
The Nordic Center will open 20 km of trails including the Nordic Highway, Shaffer Butte Extension, Mores Mountain Extension, Sappers Return and Red Tail.
“We are excited to get Nordic operations at Bogus Basin under way for the 2018-19 winter season”, said Director of Nordic Operations Paul McNeil. “The Nordic trails do not require as much snow to open and the forecast is looking favorable through the weekend.”
Frontier Point Nordic Center will be fully open for lessons, rentals and retail. Hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM over the weekend, and 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Full operations at Bogus Basin are scheduled to open for the 2018-2019 winter season on Saturday, December 8, weather permitting.
